The Impact of Climate Change on Hydro-Meteorological Droughts Using Copula Functions

Climate change has made many alterations to the climate of earth, including hydro-climatic extreme events. To investigate impact on hydro-meteorological droughts in Kamal-Saleh dam basin Markazi province, Iran, proportional future conditions, a new and comprehensive index was developed with aim accurately estimating drought more realistic condition. This aggregate (ADI) represented main meteorological hydrological characteristics drought. Temperature precipitation projections for climates were simulated by five CMIP5 models downscaled over study area during 2050s (2040–2069) 2080s (2070–2099) relative baseline period (1976–2005). By fitting univariate distribution functions severity duration, proper marginal distributions selected. The joint duration chosen from types copula functions. results revealed that future, severe are expected frequently occur shorter period.
